I called emotionally overwhelmed this morning at 9:30 and by 1 p.m. a week before Christmas these beautiful beings blessed my 4 children with Christmas presents, bedding, towels, toiletries and even presents for me. I cried on the way in because I felt defeated, I cried on the way home because I felt blessed. MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL OF YOU, TODAY MY HEART IS FULL. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. People have no idea how much of an impact it makes to have basic needs. It felt amazing to wrap presents but real dish soap for the dishes, toilet paper in the bathroom, shampoo and conditioner in the shower, house smelling clean, and new sheets on the bed makes you feel human. You guys blessed the children with presents and me with the ability to make the house feel more like home.
I am so grateful to who adopted my family for Christmas. Your generosity and kindness have truly touched our hearts. I am grateful to Sarah and Shannon who made this happen. Thanks to your support we were able to have a joyful and memorable holiday season. Your thoughtfulness and selflessness have made a significant difference in our lives and we are forever grateful. A simple thank you is not nearly enough for the joy you were able to bring not only my children but my husband and I. This year has definitely been a tough one for my family and your kind hearts have helped more than you even know. Seeing the joy on my children’s faces when they opened up their gifts brought tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for helping bring joy to this tough time for our family.

This year has been a trying one for sure from finances to mental health but today that weight drifted some and that is all thanks to you. I would like to thank Shannon and Operation Fresh Start so much for everything. I would also like to thank the Girl Scouts and all the generous people who donate to Operation Fresh Start. Having been homeless for months and finally getting into an apartment was exciting and overwhelming, but knowing you had already collected a lot of things we had lost made the transition that much easier. I really want to say thank you for being so giving, thinking of others in need and wanting to brighten a gloomy time of year for a family like ours. Thank you for wanting to help an honest family that just can't find a way this year. I'm just so truly grateful and appreciate anything to put under our tree for our children on Christmas morning. Thank you SO much for making Christmas possible for my kids! I am so truly grateful for everything we received. I couldn't stop crying after picking up the gifts today. Just seeing how much thought was put into every gift truly warmed my heart. Operation Fresh Start has demonstrated extreme kindness, empathy, and love. Many of the young adults we serve come to us with a lack of resources. Community partners such as yourself are rare, genuine, and welcoming.
I’m a single mom and a domestic violence survivor. I had to leave everything in my marital home intact and Operation Fresh Start filled a storage bin I had rented with everything I needed (and more!) to start a new, safe, healing life with my children.
All the donations I received through Operation Fresh Start will never compare to the support, hugs and respect I have received from Shannon and her organization. They were strangers who have become family.
For the last year Shannon and Operation Fresh Start have provided everything I needed, without judgment, from food to winter coats to back packs to Christmas presents for my daughter. They assisted with my weekly rent by paying a week’s back rent when I came down with COVID and could not work. They even enabled my daughter to attend summer camp which otherwise would not have been possible.
It’s hard to ask for help sometimes but Shannon was absolutely welcoming and so sweet. Operation Fresh Start has been my saving grace more than once and they have always treated me with respect.
I am honored and eternally grateful to have received the help that I do from Operation Fresh Start. They provide a sense of hope for me that all will be okay and I will make it. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for the kindness, patience and love I have received and hope they can touch many more families in need as they did mine.
